Bizzare spirals light the Russian sky: Missile Test Mystery

A clear night sky

On December 9, 2009, the night before US President Barack Obama accepted his Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, the citizens of Norway were witness to some very strange happenings in the night sky.

A point of white light began to morph into a spiraling vortex that spun for minutes until finally expanding into a black hole like shape from which shone some strange blue light.

The following videos were taken by live witnesses during the first and second sighting.

First Sighting: 12/9/2009

Second Sighting: 12/12/2009

Is there more to come?

I have to admit my jaw dropped when I saw these clips for the first time. The movement of the lights was too symmetrical and unlike anything I’d ever seen in the night sky. Either this was a freak occurrence of Nature or a product of advanced engineering.

Early observers of the event speculated that the lights were a natural occurence like the Aurora Borealis. However, this view was quickly dismissed when Russian authorities acknowledged that the source of both bizarre light shows was actually failed missile tests.

Russia’s defense ministry said a Bulava missile was launched on Wednesday by a nuclear submarine submerged in the White Sea and its third stage suffered an unspecified failure. (The Associated Press)

Mystery solved?

So it would seem, but that doesn’t change the fact that these strange lights are still a sight to behold. Who knew that the Russian military was so good at fireworks?

It really is quite amazing. It looks like a digital projection onto the night sky. Sort of like an advanced Bat Symbol.

Either way I’m sure conspiracy theorists are cooking up plenty of speculative notions about the lights and the quick and convenient cover up.

    So…

On the anniversary of the Nazi/Russian invasion of Poland, Obama announces the cancelation the program to install defensive surface to air missiles in Poland that are capable of shooting down Iranian and Russian nuclear missiles. On the day he accepts the Nobel Peace Prize:

    1. The Russians test fire a missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads from a Ballistic Missile Submarine

    2. It is discovered that Iran is in the process of constructing a Neutron Initiator (nuclear bomb trigger).

    Interesting…
