I won’t make a traditional business card. I’ll make an online calling card with only 4 things on it:

    1. My email address (which is my full name, so, two birds)
    2. My Twitter Profile
    3. My Website
    4. And my card.ly address

On the back, I’ll put a neat little picture from deviantArt or Flickr.

I’ve been saying I was going to start freelance writing “one of these days.” Thanks to a divine yet totally random chain of events, I just signed my first contract today for not one, but two feature pieces. I guess the universe is telling me that “one of these days” is NOW. I’ll use these cards to promote my new freelance business and remind myself that yes, I am officially a writer, and it’s time to get going.

I’d use the business cards for my husband, who’s a musician on the side. He wants to start trying to play out and get more shows, and some professional-looking cards would be a great help to jumpstart that! Plus I love that you can customize the cards exactly how you want–from the size to the finish. It would be a fun project for us to tackle together :)

I’ve been looking to get some business cards made up to give to people while on airports to show my new website.
“It’s an awesome website. Full of suspense, and mystery and murder. From the vowels of the world comes the grandest scheme ever to be devised. And the only way to find out is to go visit the website.”
Unfortunately, it’s more lasting if they have something to remember the site by, (besides my awesome intro to it)
