Alex, I think you may be trivializing Google Wave just a bit. Can forums allow real-time collaboration on documents with playback features? Can forums embed real time video and voice over IP? Can forums integrate as seamlessly with other APIs (Twitter, Facebook, Weather, Maps, anything)? Can forums allow peer-2-peer file transferring in a drag-drop user interface?

Cameron, I actually spent the near two hours watching that video and I easily gleaned more from this 3 minute video. Either way I am excited about Google Wave, and I cannot wait for my invitation.

Hey Greg,

Thanks for posting this - I had been searching for a good explanation of what Google Wave was all about besides the 2-hour video they link to on the homepage. Keep up the good work Team Babeled!

Google Wave looks awesome and definitely appears to be a paradigm shift in the making. Is this the beginning of Web 3.0 (something I've heard about but remain clueless about)?
