Red House Furniture: A Shot over the Political Correctness Bow

A question for the Babelonians: What say you of the commercial displayed below?

Satire? Racial Insensitivity? Social Commentary? Patent Racism? Successful ploy to gain publicity? Or just funny as hell?

I caught wind of the Red House Furniture store commercial while I was listening to the Free Beer and Hot Wings Morning Show on my ride into work and thought to myself, well this is going to create quite a stir. Naturally, I wanted to track down the video and get a feeling for what you all think… All three of you.

Check out some behind the scenes footage of the Red House commercial shoot (filmed by Rhett & Link) with budding stars, Ten Gauge and Big Head.

    ….and Hispanic People too!

We need more commercials like this. It’s like an SNL skit only better written.

This is almost as good as the Red Roof Inn ads. Those two dudes singing “at the reeeeed house” are funny as hell. Racist? nope…
