The last time I checked, when money was tight you don’t go on a spending spree. That is the worst thing you can do. Why then is Barack Obama still writing checks that the American taxpayers can’t cash?
First he told me I have to pay for Harry Reid’s toy trains and other pork spending to the tune of $800 billion. Then he told me I have to pay for some loser’s mortgage to the tune of $75 Billion. Then last week he told me I’ll be paying for another 9,000 earmarks for another $410 Billion.
Is anyone counting?
Now today he announced that on top of all of that he will be taking another $634 Billion to pay for some loser’s healthcare too!
Well, my four function calculator does not have enough digits to add those numbers.
$1,695,000,000,000.00
He has only been in office for 1 month! If I wrote as many bad checks as Obama, I would be thrown in jail!
Is anyone surprised? I’m not. Remember back in the first presidential debate, when Obama was asked what he would cut spending on in order to get us through these tough times? Instead of listing one single budget cut, he announced several trillion in additional spending. But wasn’t the question “what will you cut?”
But then again, I suppose it would be too much to ask for anyone to listen to what the guy actually said right? He’s too young, handsome, and articulate to criticise, right?
Change we need? The only change we need is the change between our cushions. That’s all we’ll have left after we pay for Obama’s socialist agenda.
I pay my taxes, my mortgage, my healthcare, my credit card, and I don’t ask the government for anything. What will I get for my accountability and personal responsibilty? Taxes, taxes, and more taxes.
I should quit my job and stop paying my bills. Then maybe Obama will buy me a new car!

I said this long ago, Obama will spend like a drunken sailor and tax this economy into oblivion. That is exactly what he is doing.
Luckily, his buddies in Congress will be trampled in 2010 and Obama’s presidency will be a short one when he is voted out of office in 2012.
I just hope his mess can be cleaned up by the next guy.

One million space bucks?
You can have three thousand now…plus fifteen once we reach Alderaan.
Seventeen thousand Chewy! These guys must really be desperate.
I think the Republicans Party needs to let up a bit with all the Barack criticism…
1)These enormous spending policies were discussed on the campaign trail. Everyone knew he was going to do this and still a majority of Americans voted for him. That’s democracy. We’re getting what we asked for.
2)The Republican strategy of discrediting the Democratic administration so as to prepare for mid-term elections worked better during the Clinton administration because we weren’t dealing with an economic situation this bad.
Jack, tell me you are not hoping that Obama fails to revive the economy so that the Republicans have a better case for winning seats back during the mid-term election?? I’ve heard this strategy being thrown around on news stations for the last few days…
Andrew,
A liberal telling a conservative he’s being too hard on the president is really laughable at this point, seriously. I mean, I’m really just getting started here and I will never come close to whinny BS that I’ve listened to for 8 years.
I don’t hope he fails. I would love it if he was right and my 401K returned to previous levels and my house went up in value.
But that doesn’t change the fact that I know I’m right and this will be a disaster. Every economist in the world agrees with me.
The government sucks at running things. Why is this so hard for a liberal to comprehend? They just just flat out suck at running anything.
This crisis was casued by people spending money they don’t have and the Democrats are responding to it by spending the most money anyone has never had.
Andrew,
Did those “unbiased” news stations mention anything about there being nothing lower and more dispicable than routing against your own soldiers in a time of war for political gain?
Jack is right about the criticism if you are looking at it from a tit or tat standpoint. I meant the democrats toasted the Bush Administration from 2003 – 2008. I’m not saying two wrongs make a right, but it is unfair to ask for treatment that was not perviously administered.
I don’t think anyone that is reasonable wants Barack to fail, regardless of party. Some people just fear the gross nationalization that is currently taking place here. In his budget review Barack has declared that he wants an unprecedented 3.6 trillion dollar budget next year! That is other-wordly! I am not sure the government cannibalizing the private sector is a good idea.
Also, the love affair with Obama needs to stop. It is dangerous if the populace and media refuses to take off their rose colored glasses. If people allow themselves to be overwhelmed by his persona it will be impossible to accurately assess the job that he is doing. This is a critical time and the nation and its media need to be vigilant, aware, and realistic. Right now that is not the case. For better or for worse Barack has the country by the balls.
In 2006, the Democrats took the congress. In 2008, they took the white house. By 2010, they will have lost their credibility for decades to come and everything will be handed back to the Republicans by 2012.
I do not want the economy to fail so that this happens. Such failure will deeply impact my life in a negative way. I am simply predicting based on what I see with my own eyes.
A liberal will always emphasize change. I will never understand why (identity crisis? social infection? pop-politics? It’s the cool thing to do?)..who knows? Time after time, once the so-called “change” fails (as it is doing now), this country always turns back to the conservative methodology (stick to what works)!
He should be criticized for policy no doubt…
I’ve just been amazed by comments from Republican leaders like Alan Keyes who keeps insisting that Obama needs to be removed from power or else the United States will cease to exist. (inciting revolution?)
Not inciting revolution, it’s a call for impeachment – and a tired argument I’ll agree. As much as I don’t like, I have to live with this schmuck for 47 more months.
I know Bush got it just as bad over his eight years, but I can’t remember any Democratic leaders going as far as to insist – within the first month of Bush’s presidency – that he should be removed from office or else the country would die.
Also on the huge huge huge budget. It should be noted that this budget is this big because for the first time in decades it includes the cost of war. Remember, Obama campaigned on transparency. Maybe that wasn’t a great idea considering what the true budget looks like now…
Come now Andrew, yes Iraq is included for the first time, but let’s not ignore the fact that $1.7 trillion of his liberal agenda is in there too.
Also, you’re right Bush wasn’t threatened with Impeachment his first month in office. He was threatened with it before his inauguration! Recall 2000 election???
He blasted Bush for doubling the National Debt over the course of 8 years. Well he took Bush’s bloated number and increased it by 30% in one month!!!
Lol, poor Bush. I honestly don’t remember the 2000 election that well except for the controversy over Gore winning the popular vote. I didn’t become politically conscious till 9/11.
