Fantasy Football is rapidly taking over the lives of many football fans around the U.S. Year after year, grown men meet up in August to draft football players so they can smash their friends in fantasy football. Needless to say, playing fantasy football is also a fun way to stay up-to-date in the NFL year after year. Upon the urging of my friend and fellow Babeler, Toledo, I will show you the team that I have built for the 2008 season. I built my fantasy football team through ESPN, which offers this service for free. (This is for those amateurs, like me, out there that want to get practice playing before they go and lose money in a serious league.)

Two games into the season, I am 2-0. I am winning my division and I am not sure if this is due to luck or skill. From my experience, in fantasy football, winning is not so much about skill and the ability of players that you may have on your team. Instead I am fully convinced that winning in fantasy football is more luck and timing than anything else. There are too many variables, such as running backs by committee and season ending injuries. This is part of the reason why I have opted out of a money league. I have had great teams in the past and I would go an entire season without winning one single game until the end of the season. Just in case you think I am exaggerating than ask fellow Babeler, Jason Morgan.
Nevertheless, I am happy with my team this year. So far it is working out for me. I took a big risk with both my quarterbacks being ageless wonders. I took a risk with my running backs that has yet to pay off, but I do think I hit a grand slam with my wide receiver picks. I am curious as to what you guys think. Do you think my team is any good team?
