That sucks Jay.

Check out this amazing full court basketball shot that helped a high school team win their game by 1 point.

This has got to be so completely against the odds of ever happening.

What about getting in your car and starting to drive to a concert, realizing you had forgotten the tickets you head home to find that they are not there...

I guess I threw them out by mistake? Either way, it sucked.

Oren, Thats insane! Your sister is seriously lucky to be alive. In a similar vein, my sister-in-law, who rarely showed up late for work, slept threw her alarm on 9/11/01. If she had gotten up the usual time she would have been scheduled to be at the train station under the world trade center when the planes hit. There are a lot of stories like that.

Greg, no I'm never doing business with them again. All my bandmates live in northern jersey, so we're just gonna find a place closer to here. And I'll bring up what you said about RAID so I don't have to deal with this again.

Well, here is the first story,Anrew:
While I was not "one in a million" my twin sister was the lucky one.

She crossed the street a mili-second before an explosive belt carried out by a suicide bomber in 2004, in the city of Kfar Saba, Israel, blow up the whole bus station she was waiting on.
One perosn got killed; While she got only few burns in her upper body and her shirt; chocking from smoke, she stood there completly wondering; Whatwas attracting me in the other side?

Crazy!

That is bizarre. Without knowing exactly how they back-up their stuff, but they should be using a RAID setup. This automatically duplicates the information onto two hard drives.

This is a bummer, there is always a chance of mistakes happening - it stink that it happened to Sebastian Davis.

Are they going to let you guys go back down there and record again for free?

Well the weird part is that the recording supposedly was destroyed in the process of backing up the recording? Huh? I don't get it.

Ok. It was MetroMusic. But the actual recording came out awesome, and the equipment, mics, and the rest of the set up were all top of the line.

I guess one of the advantages of recording on analog tape over digital is that you don't have to worry about the computer crashing or pulling some random crap.

Fair enough, although I would say that since they could not manage to have a back-up of your recording (a task that a blind 7 year old could handle) I would say this studio deserves to have it be known over the Internet.

I won't mention the name of the studio, only because the actual recording came out awesome and sounding like anything you'd buy in a store. The place doesn't really deserve me slandering their name across the internet.

I was there a few times about 8 years ago. I didn't need to make it through the front door to realize it was a Z class operation at best.
