After recently getting kicked out of my parents house my sophomore year of college, I called my friend, Molyneux, and asked him if I could crash at his dorm for a couple days until I figured out where I was going to live. Well, a couple of days turned into a few months where I ended up sleeping on the floor and living out of a huge box that was kept under his roommates bed. I ended up living like this from January ‘02 to May ‘02, from which I experienced the most fun in my college life. I was known across campus as “the guy on the floor”, my legend grew and my friendship with Greg and Jay was solidified.

During my stay at TCNJ a lot of alcohol was consumed between the 3 of us, beer pong and pre-gaming activities became part of our daily diet. On some days we would begin drinking in the AM. Mostly we would party ridiculously hard at night and on the weekends. During the week, I would go to classes at Rutgers and go work as a butchers assistant at Wegmans Supermarket in the early mornings. My life consisted of parking illegally around TCNJ and sneaking in and out of a door monitored dormitory. I ate, slept, crapped, showered, and partied at TCNJ. It became my home and I loved every bit of it. I became friends with various people all around campus and I never wanted to lose that.

That Summer, Greg’s mom allowed me to stay with them at their house. This was the Summer that I became a South Jerseyan and would eventually forge friendships with fellow Babelers, Jack and Jeff. Although I had known of Jeff since circa 1998, we really became friends between 2002-2003. Later in 2003, part of 2004 I really had a chance to hang out with Jack for he had ‘Fallen Overboard’. Jay and Andrew, from TCNJ, would come down to the shore for a night of drinking and everyone just became great friends.

Over the next two years, I stayed on campus and went to classes at Rutgers, and would go hang out at TCNJ pretty much every night. I was known as “the weekend warrior”, I would normally crash on Jays futon after an endless night of drinking and then proceed to sleep until midday. This was around the time when Spanish made his debut and our intellectual group was formed. Learning from each other and having many shared experiences, we forged lasting friendships.
