Joe Buck is Intolerable

Folks I can’t take it anymore.  Joe Buck drives me INSANE.  I cannot even begin to explain how much this particular sports announcer makes my skin crawl.  Whether it is a football game or a baseball game, Joe Buck makes me want to bore my own heart out with a spoon (because it will hurt more you twit).  His pompous delivery, inability to make valid points, pink shirts and smarmy New York bias makes me want to scream.

This pencil necked nobody should not even be employed, let alone serve as FOX’s marquee play-by-play announcer.  If it wasn’t for his father, legendary Sr. Louis Cardinal broadcaster Jack Buck, stroker Joe would be forced into some stuffy office job where at least the American public would not be subjected his drudgery.  Just the site of him makes me sick.  If I could have things my way, I would get the honor of entering the Octagon with Joe for a steel caged battle to the death.

I can’t stand that guy. However there is some good news. Bryant Gumble will not be calling games next year. No Gumble Hooray!
No more “that was an Okie Doke”
or “he was rudlesy escorted out of bounds”
Now if only they shit can Joe Buck,Chris Collingaworth and Emmitt Smith. They already got rid of Theismann. There needs to be a petition.

I hate that guy too! I would be a better announcer than him. At least i can see what is in front of my face and set aside my biases to do my job.

Joe Buck definitely takes the cake as the WORST sports announcer, in this group I think its safe to put Tim McCarver as well. His usual sidekick for announcing games.

McCarver is senile. At least in football Joe Buck can rely on Troy Aikman (who I think is a great color analyst) to make up for his deficiencies.

As much as I always hated the Cowboys, I too think Aikman is a great NFL analyst and announcer.

Tonight’s Yank game is not going to be much better though. The game is the ESPN game of the week, which means a national audience is going to be subject to John Miller and Joe Morgan. Awful.

    Ugh. I hate Joe Morgan.

As much as it pains me to admit it, Joe Buck did a passable job announcing and emceeing the 79th All Star Game.

  9. Posted July 16, 2008 at 4:53 pm | Permalink

Indeed it was passable at best, but he his apparent ass kissing he did last night was still awful.

On a side note: I was really ashamed to hear all the boos for only Red Sox players(Papelbon, Youkilis, and the MVP J.D. Drew) during the game. The fans were totally classless and I am ashamed to be associated with that. The All-Star game is about ALL the players having fun and hanging out. Why do the fans need to add their own personal drama to the game?

Well the boo’s are to be expected, it happens at every ballpark – but it does not make it right. If you recall when the All Star game was played at Fenway back in 1999, Bernie, Jeter, and the other Yankees were booed mercilessly as well.

Papelbon however, drew added ire because of his own foolishness. He thought it worthwhile and legitimate that he should be the one who closes the game – instead of Mariano. Of course, this got the Yankee faithful into an uproar and the media had a field day with it.

Right or wrong this is baseball, and this is the reason there is a rivalry.

True the NY media is relentless and they jumped on Papelbon . . . and the fans flocked to the media.

I think George Forman and Joe Rogan should be the announcers…for everything.

I move that this counsil declare Rogan and Forman “Dictators for Life” over the realm of sports commentary.

    What say you?

    I’ll second that motion.
