		<description>The above mentioned &#039;Flip Play&#039; and &#039;The Dive&#039; absolutely typify Jeter&#039;s career as you say.  This report is ridiculous and his amazing plays at SS have been the reason why the Yanks have won 4 WS between 1996-2000.

Maybe hes not the BEST offensively or defensively as stats and this report would indicate, but hes the inspirational leader and captain of the team.</description>

		<description>It&#039;s funny that the number crunchers came up with a negative report on Jeter&#039;s defensive capabilities because from actually watching him play, oh I&#039;d say about 50 games a year I manage to catch (if I get the YES Network from my cable provider), that he impresses me with many of his circus-like defensive plays.

Numbers are good, but they don&#039;t always tell the whole story.  Intangibles, which by very definition, cannot truly be quantified and are missed by these purely numerical analyses.</description>
